"Ambiguities in Central Bank's Arbaeen Facilities" were reviewed at the 85th session of the CBI’s Sharia Council and the verdict is as follows:

The principle payment of Arbaeen facilities in the form of Murabaha is permissible based on the previous resolutions of the Sharia Council. However, making a deposit has been proposed in the legal form of a loan as a precondition to receive the facilities, it is not Sharia compliant.
