In order to expand its international activities, the Iranian Association of Islamic Finance signed a memorandum of understanding with one of the biggest professional institutions in Indonesia, IAEI.

The Indonesian Association of Islamic Economist (IAEI) is an organization of academics and practitioners to conduct studies, development, education, and socialization of Islamic economics. It is one of the biggest professional organizations in Indonesia and has good connectivity to more than 30 regions and hundreds of colleagues in Indonesia, along with Indonesian economists in other countries. IAEI is chaired by her Excellency the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia. IAEI was declared on March 3, 2004 which is an organization for academics and practitioners in advancing Islamic Economics.

According to this memorandum, two associations are going to hold short-term educational programs in the form of seminars and workshops, as well as publishing articles in the field of Islamic financial services industry.
