The purpose of creating the International Forum Committee (IFC), which has started its activity since 2022, is to make a connection between Islamic finance activists in various parts of the world and access to the latest findings and experiences of Islamic finance in different countries in a centralized manner. The IFC session is held quarterly.
At the beginning of the session, Dr. Ziyaad Mohomed, Lead Researcher (Shari'ah) CoE Islamic Social Finance, INCEIF, discussed the latest developments of Islamic Finance in Malaysia.
After that, Dr. Adnan Aziz, Professor of Practice (Islamic Banking and Finance), Ajman University, spoke about the Future of Islamic Finance in UAE and the region, post COP28.
At the end, the members raised questions about Islamic finance issues in Malaysia and the UAE.
It worth mentioning that the sessions’ report of the International Forum Committee of the Islamic Finance Association of Iran is published annually.
