"Sharia dimensions of internal projects of banks and non-banking credit institutions" were reviewed at the 92nd session of the Central Bank of Iran’s Sharia Council.

"It is necessary for internal plans of banks and non-bank credit institutions in the three areas of equipment, allocation, and provision of services that if a shariah supervisor of that bank is dubious about them in terms of shariah principles, then the plan contract and its operational model must be sent to the Shariah Council for review and approval. The implementation of the aforementioned plans is permitted after approval by the Shariah Council. Obviously, the sharia supervisor's determination does not negate the powers of the Shariah Council in cases where the bank has been informed of the matter and has requested a plan in the Shariah Council."
