President Raisi appointed Dr.Ali Salehabadi, chairman of the Iranian Association of Islamic Finance, as a new governor of the Central Bank of Iran. He was suggested by Iranian Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance to President then the cabinet approved the appointment. Salehabadi took over the reins of the most significant monetary center of Iran.
Iranian President stressed that the role of the central bank in maintaining the value of national currency and controlling inflation is critical, saying the central bank must seriously have accurate monitoring not recommended monitoring on the performance of banks.
