The purpose of creating the International Forum Committee (IFC), which has started its activity since 2022, is to make a connection between Islamic finance activists in various parts of the world and access to the latest findings and experiences of Islamic finance in different countries in a centralized manner. The IFC session is held quarterly.

In the second term of this committee, new scholars in Islamic finance area joined the International Forum Committee of the Iranian Association of Islamic Finance.

At the beginning of the session, Amir Yousefi Moghadam, the Secretary General of the Iranian Association of Islamic Finance, expressed his gratitude for the cooperation of the members, voicing hope that in the second term we will witness the exchange of experiences and achievements and the emergence of new ideas to improve the position of the Islamic finance industry. Then Dr. Muhammad Imran Ashraf Usmani, Chairman of Shari’ah boards, Academic institutions and Usmani& Company, discussed the status of Islamic banking in Pakistan and Pakistan’s latest developments in Islamic Finance industry.

After that, Dr. Huseyin Ergun, Head of Islamic Economics and Finance Department, KTO University of Türkiye, spoke about the potential challenges ahead of the Islamic finance industry in Türkiye.

In the end, the members raised questions about Islamic finance issues in Pakistan and Türkiye.

It worth mentioning that the sessions’ report of the International Forum Committee of the Islamic Finance Association of Iran is published annually.
